Project #1- Fear

Fearful Expressions

The in class assignment was interesting mainly because I was able to see the creative skills of my class mates. I thought that trying to a single out a main idea for each topic would be time consuming. I thought it might be impossible for all of us to agree on one thought with a limited time table looming over us. So I suggested word association. For example, the first topic was a memory I asked each class mate to give me the first memory that popped into their head. As a result we were able to combine all our memories into one slightly odd sketch. I also learned that it is hard to sketch something out when you have 3 other pairs of hands moving around in your space. We proceeded to do this with all of the other topics. Some came out better than others. I was surprised that for the imaginary portion a lot of the class had drawn fantasy creatures. It was very interesting to see what everyone’s input was and how we were able to combine it. I thought that the assignment challenged our creativity also it helped us to get to know each other better.
