Update on my project

I've feeling like playing on my memories of monsters emerging from doors. So I'm going to use artifacts from my grandparents house in which I spent most of my childhood and photoshop them into my settings. 2 more to go, and I'll be in the clear.

Update on my once upon a time project

Samples:

Things are going steady with my project I have 3 images complete, so far. I will be working on the last 2 images this weekend and hope to actually have GOOD quality prints mounted for my own personal use. Wendy showed me an artist by the name of Tim Roda who apparently uses his son in all of his photographs that deal with mythological concepts. I find is surprising when I come up with an idea and feel that it is completely original but then later find out that someone else has already done it. I guess that is just how life is. Life is void of originality.

Memory is the diary that we all carry about with us. ~Oscar Wilde

I am really inspired by Grace Weston

For my first assignment, I am given to task to recreate my earliest memories. My memories are hazy and have run together over the years. I remember bed time and what a task it was for my parents to get me to stay in bed. I am thinking of running with the idea of a box and string to trap a child in their bed. I also remember building a plane out of cardboard in my backyard and allowing my imagination to run wild. I also remember monsters and imaginary friends.

I want to try and complete this project using small scale scenes. Materials would include things I used as a child like doll house furniture, paper boats, toys, and fabrics. I want to create an imaginary landscape from fabrics and cotton. I need to think more on how this will pan together.
